BENITA CHAPLIN
PRESIDENT / CEO
Benita Chaplin dedicated 33 years to the Kansas Judicial Branch, including 29 years with the Sedgwick County District Court. Fourteen of those in a managerial role overseeing the daily operations of the family law, juvenile, civil, records, and small claims departments. She served her final four years as the District Court Clerk Specialist for the Office of Judicial Administration. Benita has played a key role in developing and implementing staff training programs.
Throughout her career, Benita’s passion for helping children and families in need was always at the forefront. Actively involved in her church and community youth ministries, she often welcomed children in need into her home. From that vision, The T.O.U.C.H. Closet, Inc. was born.

After high school, Jessica traveled extensively, living in several cities, including Baku, Azerbaijan, where she volunteered at an English language school. Traveling and meeting people from different cultures—and trying their food—remains one of her greatest passions.
